Personal Profile

Originally from Arkansas but now a two decade resident of Nashville, TN, Michael Rinne has shared the studio and the stage with some of the finest artists and musicians in the world. After graduating from Vanderbilt’s Blair School of Music in 2010, Rinne hit the road.  Most notably he toured with Miranda Lambert, Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris, Sarah Jarosz, Chester Thompson Trio, among others. In 2022, Michael stepped off the road to keep up with his expanding studio schedule. Playing both electric as well as upright bass has made him an in demand session musician for Nashville’s biggest producers. Some recording credits include; Jack White, Alicia Keys, Dan+Shay, Miranda Lambert, Parmalee, Rodney Crowell, Kimberly Perry, Mary Gauthier, Ronnie Milsap, Andrew Combs, Caitlin Rose, Jesse Baylin, Rayland Baxter, and most recently Bailey Zimmerman. Bailey’s Zimmerman’s latest album Religiously debuted at number 1 on Spotify’s Top Albums chart. Also Bailey’s single “Rock and A Hard Place” spent 6 weeks at the number 1 spot on Billboard’s Country Music chart.  

 

Michael also enjoy’s producing albums and writing songs with artists, helping them navigate their studio experience and craft their unique sound. Some artists that Michael has produced albums for include; Erin Rae, Kelsey Waldon, Kristina Murray, Caroline Spence, and others. 

 

Michael resides in East Nashville with his wife Rachel, their son Bear, and their two cats Milo and Sheldon.
